MONUMENT I 2004 – 2007
Monument I concerns archaeology. Prehistoric sites, place and associated artefacts are a central, ongoing preoccupation for Gilbart that sweep through time, continents, form and function.
Gilbart periodically makes sculpture to explore ideas in various materials. She studied bronze foundry practice in London and some small bronzes sculptures can be seen in Monument II.
